Bletchley Park free resources are just the thing. He loves his Spies book and actually said it wasn't long enough.
We did a fair bit on Mesopotamians today too. With that, shopping, cleaning and cooking Sunday lunch I am meeting myself coming back.
Good for D and for you for giving him room to run with it. Have you thought about heiroglyphic languages like Egyptian and Chinese as a logical extension? Mine are learning Chinese and leaving each other messages in a parent-proof language.
