Summer Arrived For A While

and left again. I haven't had much time to blog lately. The HE review findings and subsequent chat with HE over it has taken up hours a day to keep up with and got through and write to various MP's e.tc about it. Aside from that particular curtailment to family happiness life has been busy. Another family BBQ took place last weekend and the boys have been busy with Ancient history, writing ( D has decided it is a good a time as any to get better at it) and the usual science. We have spent a lot of time outside and a lot of time cuddling the rescue rabbits. Every week has a drama. This one is G's turn. Her final year at college has been cancelled - just like that. The tutor got made redundant 2 years ago and has reached the end of the appeals line. I am not sure if they were ever going to tell the class cos G only found out cos she asked about next year and the term ends on Wednesday:( Had a cow on the phone who did not give a monkies, called it inconvenient. I said inconvenient is Tescos running out of bread and this was my dd's career they were messing with and inconvenient did not cut it as a description. I was so angry. Anyway the upshot was I found her another college who might slot her into the final year but it is miles away even tho it is the nearest. There is free transport to it but it is on a bus - an hour and 15 minutes on. a. bus. It might as well be a space shuttle. G has travel sickness on buses unrelieved by any meds. It is not doable. The other way is a train and an expensive taxi which I am prepared to fork out for but bearing in mind her bag weights 10 - 15 lbs and she has a heavy tool box, plus flower arrangements which are heavy to carry, I am not sure that option is doable either. We have no car and she couldn't cope in one all the way anyway. 15 minutes is her limit before she is sick. She is deciding. I think she might end up working with the qual she will hopefully get this time. I don't know how I feel about it tbh.

We had visitors today and visitors tomorrow and a sleepover from next Wedesday. Everyone loves it here in summer lol

That is absolutley outrageous about the college. How can they not give advance warning? How are our young people to plan and make arrangements? Goodenss, looking at how some education establishments operare it just adds insult to injury with this whole review business.

The college stuff is outrageous. Son's other half has had problems, too. All cutback stuff.

Your bunnies are luverly:o))) I am so tempted to have a couple. My friend at the local rescue place has loads waiting for homes.
